Android phablet, the ZTE Nubia X6
has been finally officially launched in Beijing. As the rumours indicated, the phone is carrying a monstrous 6.44-inch display with a resolution of 1080p (344ppi density), and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor.
The ZTE Nubia X6 has a metal body with relatively narrow bezels and falls in the premium smartphone segment. Initially, it will be powered by the Qualcomm MSM8974AB SoC with 4x Krait 400 cores (clocked at 2.3GHz), while a second variant with MSM8974AC (clocked at 2.5GHz) is also slated to arrive. The processors are supported by 3GB of RAM. ZTE hasn’t yet revealed the specific build of Android the device runs. The phone is packed with a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, OIS (optical image stabilisation), five-element lenses and LED flash. The front shooter also boasts a resolution of 13-megapixels, but is based on a BSI sensor and features an F/2.2 aperture, without optical image stabilisation.
The Nubia X6 comes with dual-SIM capabilities, 4G LTE, 3G, dual-band Wi-Fi, aGPS, NFC, USB 3.0 OTG and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity features. It will be released with support for different networks including TD-LTE, FDD-LTE, WCDMA, CDMA, GSM, TD-SDCMA and EVDO, depending on the market. In addition, the phone offers a noise-cancelling microphone and a humongous 4,250mAh battery.
The phone will be first introduced in the Chinese market in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants, priced around $484, $564 and $645, respectively. There is no information when the Nubia X6 will be released in the global market.
