Xiaomi released its immensely popular Redmi Note 5 Pro (review) mid-range smartphone in India in February this year. Ever since the launch of the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the company has introduced a number of new smartphones in China and India. Now it appears that the brand is working on a couple of more Redmi series smartphones. One of them could be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 or Note 6 Pro, which could have been spotted on the Federal Communications Commission’s website.

Alleged Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro FCC 3

The upcoming Xiaomi smartphone has been listed on FCC under the model number M1806E7TG. The certification hasn’t revealed the name of the smartphone. However, if the reports are to be believed, this phone could launch as the successor to the Redmi Note 5 or Note 5 Pro. The device in the certification has dual-band Wi-Fi, and support for networks like LTE, WCDMA, CDMA, and GSM. The handset has been certified with MIUI 9. Sadly, no other details about the smartphone are available at the moment.

In related news, Xiaomi’s newly-formed POCO brand has released its first smartphone called the POCO F1 (review) in India today. The phone has arrived as the most affordable Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC-powered smartphone in the country. The handset’s price starts at Rs 20,999 for the base variant, and goes up to Rs 28,999 for the top-tier model.
