“The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S flagship is expected to come with a Snapdragon 845 SoC, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage”
A couple of days ago, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S smartphone’s alleged sketch and specs hit the interwebs. The leaked sketch indicated that the brand’s next-gen bezel-free smartphone will sport a different design as compared to its predecessor. Now, the supposedly official press renders and specs of the Mi Mix 2S have been leaked online as well. The design of the device seen in the renders is in line with the recently leaked sketch of the handset.
As seen in the image above, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will sport an all-screen front with much slimmer bezels than its predecessor. The phone will have a small cutout on the top right corner of the screen, which will house the selfie shooter. At the rear, the handset will sport a dual camera setup with an LED light unit sitting between the lenses. The phone’s power and volume rocker keys will be located on the right side.
As for the specs, the leaked press banners of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S indicate that the phone will come with a 5.99-inch display. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 flagship processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM. The phone is also expected to come in a 6GB RAM variant as well. The storage capacity on board will be a massive 256GB.
At the rear, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is expected to sport a 12-megapixel dual camera setup utilising Sony IMX363 sensors. Since there’s no fingerprint sensor visible in the leaked renders, the phone is likely to come with an under-display fingerprint scanner along with facial recognition. The sketch that leaked earlier also indicated an under-display fingerprint sensor.
Xiaomi hasn’t yet officially announced when it will be introducing the next-gen Mi Mix series smartphone. However, reports say that the vendor could unveil the Mi Mix 2S at some point in March or April this year, in China.
