“Vivo has already launched the Y71 in India with 3GB RAM”
Last week, Vivo expanded its range of budget offerings in the country and silently launched the Vivo Y71. The USP of the handset was an 18:9 display and the face unlock feature. Now, a new variant of the smartphone with 4GB RAM has been spotted on the benchmarking website, Geekbench.
On the Geekbench website, there is no reference to the processor, however, we can expect it to be the same as the previous model, which is Qualcomm Snapdragon 425. The listing also reveals 4GB RAM, instead of 3GB RAM in the variant that’s already launched. The smartphone managed to score 668 in single-core test and 1,848 in the multi-core test. Apart from this, the new phone will also come with the Android 8.1 Oreo, which is layered with the brand’s custom FunTouch skin. We can expect other features of the smartphone to be the same as the previously launched Vivo Y71.
To recap on the Y71, the smartphone comes with a 5.99-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone comes with 16GB of expandable storage. In the imaging department, it offers a 13-megapixel primary shooter on the rear with LED flash and a front-facing 5-megapixel snapper. As for the connectivity options, it features 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. A 3,360mAh battery keeps the handset alive through the day.
The Vivo Y71 has been priced at Rs 10,990 in India and can be picked up from major offline and online channels in the country. However, the 4GB RAM variant of the smartphone is yet to go official, and we could expect it to be priced slightly higher. We will update you with the latest information as and when they turn up.
