Exclusive: Vivo Y71 with 5.99-inch 18:9 display launched in India for Rs 10,990

“The Vivo Y71 is a budget offering with a Full View display and the latest Android Oreo software experience”

Last month, Vivo launched its latest mid-range smartphone called the V9 (review) in India. Now, 91mobiles has learned from its retail sources that the company has expanded its range of budget offerings in the country with the launch of Vivo Y71. The new handset is the first phone in the brand’s Y series to feature an 18:9 display. The budget-centric phone offers a unibody design and boots Android Oreo out of the box. Instead of a fingerprint sensor, the handset relies on face unlock feature for its authentication mechanism.

Coming to the other specs, the Vivo Y71 offers a 5.99-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 425 processor. The handset comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, which can be further increased by inserting a microSD card.

The camera department on the Vivo Y71 includes a 13-megapixel primary shooter on the rear with LED flash and a front-facing 5-megapixel snapper for selfies and video calling. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. A 3,360mAh battery keeps the handset alive.
