Indian manufacturer, Videocon has launched the A27 smartphone with a Dual-SIM support as the latest addition to its Android device line-up. This newly launched Videocon device packs a bouquet of features including 3G connectivity at an affordable price of Rs. 5,999.
Videocon A27 sports a 4.0-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. Videocon has powered the A27 smartphone with a 1GHz Broadcomm single-core processor assisted by 512MB of RAM. The device boasts a 3MP Rear Camera along with a VGA front camera for video calling. It houses an Internal Memory of 4GB which may be expanded externally up to 32GB via Micro SD Card.
The other specifications of the A27 smartphone from Videocon includes Dual-SIM GSM connectivity, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, Wi-Fi , Micro USB and a 1500mAh battery. The budget ranged smart device also possesses G-sensor and Proximity sensor.
Videocon A27 has got a very impressive blend of features but we may expect it to get a tough competition from the Micromax A89 Ninja which also running on a Ice Cream Sandwich OS offers Dual-SIM and 3G support but overtakes the Videocon A27 with a Dual-core processor in the same price range.
Videocon had some times back launched the A20 and A30 Dual-SIM smartphones, both with 3G and GPS support in the Indian Market. Now, with the launch of the A27 smartphone the manufacturer seems to be looking forward to lure the buyers towards shifting from the segment of feature phone to the segment of Android phones staying in a budget range at the same time.
