Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM wireless portable speakers launched in India for Rs 19,995

American audio products company Ultimate Ears launched the successor to its BOOM wireless Bluetooth speaker, aptly named MEGABOOM, in India on Tuesday. The Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM is designed specifically for people who like to party and can therefore withstand anything from dusty music festival grounds to summer pool bashes, as per the company’s claims.

Apart from IPX7 waterproof rating, the Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM speakers come with built-in voice-integration and support Siri as well as Google Now. The new portable speaker from Ultimate Ears offers 360-degree sound with “deep and heart-pounding bass,” as per the company.

“Users can take advantage of its long battery life and extended wireless range to start a party wherever, whenever they want to,” the company said in its release. Further, users can download the free companion app on Android or iOS to make use of additional features like musical alarm, fully customisable sound, and the ability to remotely turn them on or off. One of the interesting new additions to the wireless speakers is that updates can now be done over-the-air.

The Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM will be made available in India from November 20th at a retail price of Rs 19,995. The speaker will be offered in Lava Red and Black Charcoal colour options.
