Top iOS apps and games of the week #12

The past week was a busy one for Apple, with the company finally taking the covers off the 4-inch iPhone SE, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, new Watch bands and a big update to iOS. In the meantime, we’ve rounded up the best new apps and games that launched on the App Store this week.

The app also features various courses to improve sleep, efficiency, stress, leadership, relationships, memory and more to help you exercise your mental strength as well as improve your resilience.

A Weather Way_iconA Weather Way (Free)

There are a ton of weather apps on the App Store, but A Weather Way takes a different approach by showing you how the weather affects your day. The app lets you customise a daily schedule by choosing from over 50 visual icons. You can then scroll through the day to see how the weather will affect your routine. You can create up to seven daily routines per week for up to 10 locations, and share your weather with friends and family. The app displays current and hourly forecasts, temperature, precipitation, humidity, wind speed and a daily summary.

Disney Magic Kingdoms_iconDisney Magic Kingdoms (Free)

In Disney Magic Kingdoms, you’ll have to restore magic to the land after Maleficent casts an evil spell over the kingdom. You’ll get to create the Disney park of your dreams, complete with the most popular attractions from parks around the world. You’ll also get to share moments with favourite Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Rapunzel, Buzz Lightyear, Tinker Bell and more, embark on hundreds of quests, face off against evil villains, and collect items to bring each character back from under the spell.

I Dig It Remastered_iconI Dig It Remastered (Rs 250)

The classic game I Dig It has been remastered for iOS. In the game, you’ll play farmer Lewis who has fallen on hard times, and has converted an old bulldozer into a high-tech digging machine. You’ll have to help him dig up items before time runs out in order to pay the mortgage and save the farm. You’ll also need to manage fuel, temperature and damage while digging, with a total of 60 items to be discovered. The cash you earn from selling the items can also be used to upgrade the digger and repair damage. Apart from the campaign mode, there are four mini-game challenge matches, as well as an open-ended free play mode.

Kite Trip_iconKite Trip (Rs 60)

Kite Trip is an endless runner game where you have to guide a kite through a world of colourful geometric structures, trying to stay alive for as long as possible. You’ll have to dodge the various structures to stay alive, taking special care to avoid shooting orbs and moving objects. The Flappy Bird-esque gameplay requires to you to continuously tap on the screen to keep the kite from flying into obstacles.

Tesla Tubes_iconTesla Tubes (Free)

Tesla Tubes is a puzzle game where you’ll have to help Professor Droo and his grandson power the tubes and venture deeper into the magical machine park. The game requires you to connect matching batteries with tubes by drawing lines between them, and cover the entire board with tubes while keeping an eye out for obstacles. The game featurs over 500 levels and collectible gold stars. There’s also a limited number of hints available, with more unlocked as you play.

App of the Week

Sputnik Eyes (Free)

This week’s free App of the Week is wacky puzzle game Sputnik Eyes. In the game, you’ll be tasked with guiding tiny robots through maze-like planets over 60 levels.

Other notable new games to check out include Winterstate, Basketball Stars and KleptoCats.
