Tambo TA-4 Android phone with 5.45-inch full view display launched for Rs 6,999

Tambo, a nascent brand in the Indian market, expanded its smartphone line up on Wednesday with the launch of the new TA-4 handset. The phone has been categorised under the firm’s Superphone series and comes with reasonable specifications for the price.

TA-4 Sapphire Blue

The Tambo TA-4 features a 5.45-inch HD IPS LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 550 nits of maximum brightness. The borders aren’t quite bezel-less, but the handset comes with a 2.5D curved glass on top of the display. Under the hood, the handset is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek 6737 SoC, paired with 2GB of RAM. The storage onboard is 16GB, which is further expandable up to 64GB via microSD card.

For photography, the smartphone features an 8-megapixel sensor on the rear with LED flash and offers multiple modes like face beauty, burst mode, HDR, and panorama mode. Up front, the phone has a 5-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls, backed by flash.

Commenting on the launch, Sudhir Kumar, CEO, Tambo said, “Tambo TA-4 is a powerful device developed keeping in mind the Indian customers’ preferences. After the success of TA-3, it is a pleasure for us to launch a new product with advanced features with a higher spec for seamless multi-tasking.

TA-4 Jet Black

With the Tambo TA-4, the brand is promising 200 days of replacement warranty along with a one-time screen replacement warranty within 365 days of buying the phone. The firm currently has more than 600 service centres across India.

As for the pricing, the Tambo TA-4 is retailing at Rs 6,999 and comes in Jet Black, Champagne, and Sapphire Blue colour options. The handset can be purchased from various distribution channels across the country.
