“A slideshow review of Sony’s latest mini flagship.”
Sony’s two-flagships-a-year policy were starting to feel stale in the last couple of iterations. We reviewed the Xperia Z2 this year, and found it to be an extremely capable device, but one that lacked the necessary oomph. With the Xperia Z3 (review) however, Sony has infused some much-needed freshness into its OmniBalance design, adding rounded edges and some gorgeous new colour choices. While the tech specs are more or less the same as the Z2, the battery performance has received a major boost, and is easily one of the smartphone’s USPs. The Z3 Compact gets the same treatment, which makes it one of the most formidable small-screen devices currently available. You can head over to our full review for all the deets, but if you’ve got only a moment to spare, our review in pictures should suffice.
