Sony Xperia S Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update Hitting Markets By Early June

sony-xperia-s As per fresh reports, Sony has declared that the Xperia S will bag the ‘Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich’ up-gradation by the coming weeks. The company has been slow off the mark to move forward the Ice Cream Sandwich up-gradation out to its clients, after primarily claiming the update would be obtainable for the Sony Xperia S by the month of April. Customers have witnessed that April time-bracket slide back, but it seems like the company has lastly sorted itself out, after it stationed an update on one of its support forums. According to the post, “Xperia S is planned to get ICS somewhere around late May/early June. That’s what’s been said and that’s still what we’re sticking to.” “Any other date (such as June/July) is just speculation. The roll out is, as always, gradual and will not happen over night for all phones. Some phones might get the update in late May while other[s] will get it in mid June etc,” the post also stated. This ICS up-gradation appears to link satisfactorily with the Ice Cream Sandwich launching for other Xperia phones comprising the Xperia Arc S, Xperia Neo V and Xperia Ray. Rolled out with Android Gingerbread operating system, the Sony Xperia S astonished its buffs with its gigantic 12-mp key camera boasting a resolution of 4000×3000 pixels. Backing Exmor R CMOS sensor and able to record 1080p video on its main camera and a 720p video recording on its 1.3-mp secondary camera, the Xperia S heaps up a notable list of specifications. Valued at Rs 30,999, the gadget also takes on board Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited, Playstation app and 50GB of free cloud space. The update will match up with Sony’s proposed ICS rollout for its former Xperia models that comprises Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S, the Xperia Play, Xperia Ray among others.
