Sony launches Cyber-shot RX10 camera with 1inch Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor

In addition to the Sony Alpha 7 & 7R full frame interchangeable lens cameras, company has also launched a new advanced point and shoot camera dubbed as Sony Cyber-shot RX10 in the RX family. It is a high-zoom camera from the Sony featuring a massive 1inch Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor for high end quality imaging. Company is targeting the buyers looking for a fixed all-in-one form factor camera with high end features with the latest addition of the RX Family.

The Sony Cyber-Shot RX10 with magnesium alloy looks and feels like a DLSR device but comes in slightly more compact size making it look like Canon’s small EOS Rebel SL1. It comes with high class build quality to provide resistance against dust and moisture. It features a 24-200mm f/2.8 Carl Zeiss lens which allows the photographers to capture high quality photos with nice background blurring effects.

It uses a larger 1-inch 20.2MP back illuminated Exmor CMOS sensor as well as the new Bionz X image processor to provide high quality photography experience. It also comes with contract detection autofocus system which usages a new motor system to provide more responsive and faster performance.

Sony Cyber-shot RX10 has OLED electronic view finder and a 3inch tilting display. There are six buttons on the device which can be customized and its built-in WiFi & NFC features allows the users to share images remotely to the connected iOS or Android smartphones. It will be available to buy for $1300 starting from the November 2013.
