Sony India has finally launched its highly anticipated Android flagship smartphone in India the Sony Xperia Z1 for Rs. 44,990. The latest waterproof Android flagship phone from the company was originally announced at IFA 2013 in Berlin earlier this month and now it is unveiled for India and already available to buy in United Kingdom. It is going to have stiff competition to recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone in the country. Features of Sony Xperia Z1 – To remind you, the Sony Xperia Z1 flagship smartphone is running on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean operating system version and comes with a 5inch full HD display with Sony X-Reality mobile engine. It is powered by a 2.3GHz quad core Snapdragon processor along with 2GB of RAM memory. It comes with 16GB of internal storage which is further expendable up to 64GB via microSD card.
One of the highlights of the phone is the main camera present in the device. The camera comes with Sony’s own G Lens with 27mm wide angle and f/2.0 aperture. Its 20.7MP rear camera is capable of shooting videos with 4K quality. Its Exmor RS sensor and BIONZ mobile image processing engine offers high quality image capturing experience. Offers with the phone – To attract the Indian consumers company has also embedded many free offers with its latest flagship smartphone. Sony is offering a free premium mobile case, 5000mAh portable charger and six free movies. Company has also tied up with Vodafone to offer 8GB of free 3G data for the duration of 2 months to the buyers of its latest device. Lens Cameras –
Along with the Sony Xperia Z1 flagship, Sony has also launched QX10 and QX100 lens cameras in the country. Sony QX10 lens camera is priced at Rs. 12,990 and the Sony QX100 is priced at Rs. 24,990. These are actually attachable lenses for the phones to improve the overall photography experience of the buyers. Company has aggressively priced these camera accessories which is quite impressive. Sony Smartwatch 2 is also unveiled in the same event and priced at Rs. 14,990 which is quite lower than the price of Samsung Galaxy Gear (Rs. 22,990) in the country. It comes with a 1.6inch display screen with the resolution of 220*176 pixels. Sony is positioning its smartwatch as a second screen to the Android phones of the buyers. You can do a lot of things with the watch like capturing a photo remotely using the smart camera app present in the device. Sony Xperia Z1 will be available in the retail stores across the country starting from today; it is a nice move by the company to compete against Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phablet which will go on sale from September 25th.
