Samsung launches W2014, a high-end flip phone with Snapdragon 800 chipset & Android 4.3

It looks like the South Korean tech giant, Samsung is aggressively planning to bring back the fashion of flip-phones. Company has introduced yet another flip smartphone in China dubbed as Samsung W2014 with high-end specifications. The latest flip smartphone from the tech giant is packing some really nice specs including, Snapdragon 800 processor and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. It is the first flip phone to come with these type of high-end specs.

Features wise, Samsung W2014 offers a 3.7inch Super AMOLED touch display on the inside as well on the outside with 480*800 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor along with 2GB of RAM. It sports a massive 13MP rear camera as well as a 2MP front facing shooter too for video calling. It is a dual SIM smartphone with GSM+CDMA network support.

It comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 64GB via microSD card slot. It is powered by a decent 1900mAh battery, which is removable too. Connectivity wise, it offers WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS, and it comes with usual Android smartphone sensors.

There is no word on the release date as well as price of the device, but it is expected to be priced around 10,000 Chinese Yuan ($1640), which converts into Rs. 1,01,198, making it one of the most expensive smartphones of all time.
