Samsung Launches Galaxy Note 510

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet was unveiled at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress, 2013. Today, we get news that the Galaxy Note 8.0 is to be released in India as the Galaxy Note 510.

Samsung had announced its intentions to launch the device has Galaxy Note 5100 at the MWC, however, it released it as Note 510 in India. 

The Note 510 is supported by the Android 4.1.2 JellyBean operating System and comes with voice calling facility. The device is attached with a Stylus pen that comes with a Samsung Air View feature with which the user can simply hold the stylus in front of the screen to see previews of different apps and much more.

The Note 501 has an 8-inch TFT LCD display with 1280×800 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.6GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor with 2GB of RAM. The tablet will be available in two versions with 16GB or 32GB internal memory and Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi cum 3G connectivity. Both devices have 64GB external memory expansion option via micro SD card.

The Galaxy 510 has a 5MP LED flash with HD video recording facility and a 1.3MP front camera for video calls and clicking self portraits.
The Wi-Fi version will have connectivity options such as 2GHz & 5GHz band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, GPRS/EDGE, WLAN and Bluetooth. The Wi-Fi cum 3G model offers the same connectivity features with 2G and 3G connectivity features via micro SIM card. The Note 510 runs on a 4600mAh battery.

The pricing and availability details have not been revealed just now, though there were rumors of a price tag of RS. 32, 000 to beat the iPad Mini. We can expect these details to be revealed soon as the device is already listed on all the online mobile shopping portals.
