Samsung Galaxy X1 and Galaxy X1 Plus foldable smartphones leaked again

“Samsung’s Galaxy X series smartphones are expected to be launched this year”

Several reports in the past have suggested that Samsung is working on a couple of foldable smartphones. Now a new leak out of China has revealed the alleged names and model numbers of these phones. As per a Weibo listing, Samsung’s foldable smartphones will be called the Galaxy X1 and Galaxy X1 Plus.


The post suggests that the Galaxy X1 will carry the model number SM-X9000, while the bigger Galaxy X1 Plus variant’s model number will be SM-X9050. As per the source, the former will boot Android 6.0 Marshmallow, while the latter will run Android Nougat out of the box. Unfortunately, the tipster didn’t reveal any other specifications of these devices.

As per earlier reports, Samsung’s foldable smartphones would feature 4K Super AMOLED displays. The company is expected to unveil these phones at some time later this year.
