Last month, during the launch of the Galaxy Note9 (review) in India, Samsung also introduced its latest smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch. Today, the company has gone ahead and announced the price of its wearable, which will set you back to Rs 24,990 for the 42mm model and Rs 29,990 for the top-end 44mm variant. Both the models come with LTE support and share similar specifications and features, except for the battery and screen size.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3

The 42mm Samsung Galaxy Watch ships with a 1.2-inch display and a 270mAh battery, while the 44mm model sports a 1.3-inch screen and a 473mAh battery. As for the display, it’s an always-on Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. The screen is guarded by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ for protection against scratches and minor knicks. The smartwatch is powered by a dual-core Exynos 9110 chipset and also offers a built-in GPS support.

For sports and fitness, the Galaxy Watch is said to come with 39 workout modes that allow the user to customise and change up their routines, accordingly. The sensors onboard include an accelerometer, gyro, barometer, HRM, and an ambient light sensor. Apart from this, the wearable runs Tizen OS 4.0 and integrates Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant. Other features include sleep tracking, water-resistant 5 ATM rating, and Samsung’s Health, Flow, and Knox support. In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Watch offers Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi b/g/n, NFC, and A-GPS / GLONASS. 

Lastly, the Galaxy Watch comes in Rose Gold, Silver, and Midnight Black colour options. Samsung is yet to divulge when the wearable will go for sale in India, and whether it’ll be available to buy online or offline stores as well. We’ll update you as soon as we get any confirmation, so stay tuned.
