“The new phones are slightly upgraded variants of the Galaxy On5 and On7, which were launched in November last year”
Samsung has been on a smartphone launching spree in the budget segment lately. The brand recently launched the Galaxy J Max and Galaxy J2 (2016), and earlier, the the Galaxy J5 and J7 2016 editions, too. The Rs 10,000 – 15,000 smartphone segment was filled to the brim a while ago, and now it’s overflowing. And the latest launches from Samsung are adding to the spill. The brand has now introduced the Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro and On7 Pro. These are slightly upgraded variants of the Galaxy On5 (review) and On7 (review), which were launched in November last year. The primary difference in the new set of offerings is better RAM, increased built-in storage, Android Marshmallow, and inclusion of Samsung’s new S Bike mode. The prices have seen a slight jump as well, with the On5 Pro costing Rs 9,190, and the On7 Pro priced at Rs 11,190. We unboxed these Amazon India-exclusive phones, and played with them for a while.
