The device offers dual displays and a 1.7 GHz dual core processor running on android Jelly bean 4.2Following the recent rumour, Korean electronics brand Samsung’s latest Android smartphone Galaxy Golden has started retailing in the Indian market. Although Samsung is yet to make an official announcement for the same, online sellers Infibeam.com and Ebay.in have started retailing the device at Rs 51,900 and Rs 49,900 respectively. Although the devices have been made available the prices of the Galaxy Golden might not be appealing to most users who were expecting the device to be priced below Rs 40,000. Nonetheless, Samsung is yet to make an official announcement and we surely hope the prices to come down little bit, if not drastically.The Samsung Galaxy Golden is built using two 3.7 inch Super AMOLED displays both featuring WVGA, 800 x 480 pixel resolution and capacitive touch input system. The device is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8930 Pro, dual-core processor running at 1.7 GHz. Samsung Galaxy Golden runs Google Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating with Samsung’s customized user interface layered on top of it. There is a healthy 2 GB of RAM onboard along with 16GB internal storage with support for additional 32GB storage through the use of Micro SD cards. In terms of connectivity it offers WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G (LTE) and GPS as standard. It comes with an 8 Megapixel rear camera along with a 1.9 megapixel front facing camera as well. Samsung has pre-loaded the phones with softwares like S Health, Easy Mode, Business Card reader and the Samsung WatchOn app for easy acces to TV program guide as well.
