Samsung launches second Android-based handset – i5700 Galaxy Spica – following its first model i7500 Galaxy. Spica is powered by a 800 MHz Processor and has a reasonably big screen of 3.2 inches with touchscreen capability. The screen is capacitative and not resistive. For starters, capacitative screens are much more responsive than resistive screens and iPhone pioneered this concept. The display resolution is 320×480 pixels with support for 16million colors. The AMOLED (Active-Matrix OLED) display technology renders a beautiful and crisp image quality with bright colours. 
Spica comes with a range of useful and cool applications such as Google Search, Google Maps, GMail, Youtube, Gtalk and Google Calendar. Users can ofcourse download new applications from android apps marketplace. Other features include Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Digital Compass, 3.2 Megapixels Camera, Geo-tagging facility and reasonably high Battery capacity of 1500 mAh that can offer upto 650 hours of standby and 11.5 hours of talktime! In addition this device supports DivX and xVid video formats! The handset is offered in White-Green and Black-red colours. The mobile phone is priced at Rs. 14,750 for Indian Market.
