Samsung aims to sell 40 million Smartphones in 2011

Samsung Electronics is planning to sell 40 million Smartphone handsets in the year 2011. 2010 has been a great year where Samsung exceeded its own expectations of selling 18 million handsets. Samsung will have sold 20 million smartphones by the year end. Shin Jong-kyun, head of Samsung’s mobile division, told reporters in Seoul that the firm about Samsung’s plans for 2011. It’s worthwhile to note that Samsung also supplies semiconductors and microprocessors to other biggies, most notably to Apple Inc., powering iPad and iPhones. This contract has improved Samsung’s earning significantly. To date, Samsung Galaxy S is the most popular samsung smartphone in the market.
