There have been rumors doing the rounds that the Sony Xperia L and Sony Xperia SP is all set to be launched in the European markets next week, on 18th March, at a press event in Russia.
The Multinational Electronics company has called for a press conference and tech followers are expecting the two new smartphones might be showcased.
The specifications of the the two devices have been often been leaked over the internet, however, there have been no confirmed reports from the company. Tech geeks expect the Xperia SP and the Xperia L will be replacing the Sony Xperia P and Xperia P this year.
Both devices have the Android 4.1 Jellybean operating system. The Sony Xperia SP will feature a 4.6 inch, 720 pixels HD display. It will be powered by a 1.7 GHz dual core Qualcomm S4 Pro processor. The device has 8 GB internal storage and an 8 MP rear camera. The Xperia L will have a 4.3-inch FWVGA display with 480 x 854 resolution, 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, 8 MP rear camera and 1700 mAh battery.
The company has recently launched the high end Xperia Z and Xperia ZL successfully, so a mid range device from the company seems to be expected by market experts.
There has been news that the two smartphones are listed with as many as four UK retailers just now. The Xperia SP and Xperia L can also bee seen listed on Amazon and eBuyer websites. However, the pricing details or release date has not been published.
