Research In Motion (RIM) is planning to add 200 BlackBerry Experience Zones across India. The company plans to complete this project by the year ending 2011, said an official spokesperson. Till now, BlackBerry has a 500 Experience Zones in India. Mr.Sanjay Kaul, Senior Director (Channel & Sales), BlackBerry India said, “We have support stores from BlackBerry, called ‘Experience Zone’. So far, we have more than 500 such stores across the country. By end of this year, we would probably like to add another 200. We support the key retailers, who are selling BlackBerry in India, with such outlets, so that customers easily understand the use of BlackBerry products and get to know the propositions of BlackBerry smart-phones, vis-a-vis other smart-phones.” Offline chain outlets like Univercell and others are helping the buyer to experience the mobile at their exclusive Live Showrooms. Now, the company’s itself offering these kind of experience zones will help the buyer to gain more inputs about the product before buying.
