JioTV now available for desktops; here’s how you can access it

Reliance Jio’s premium content suite has been available exclusively to apps on smartphones until now. However, recently, the company launched a web version of its content platform, JioConema. Now, the company has quietly launched its content app called JioTV for desktops, which works on most web browsers.

JioTV’s web version was working until yesterday, and we have the snapshots below. However, at the time of writing this news, JioTV.com seems to be under construction. It is expected to go live again soon. You will be able to access the web version of JioTV by going to any web browser on your desktop or laptop.

JioTV for web shows all TV channel categories, including entertainment, movies, news and sports. There’s also an option to filter out HD channels in your preferred regional language. Similar to the mobile version of the service, the Catch-Up TV feature is also available on the web version, which allows users to view content from the past seven days of airing on TV channels.

As spotted by Telecom Talk first, to use JioTV on your desktop, you will need to login on the website with a valid Jio ID and password. Unlike the service’s mobile version, you can use the web app with any network or Wi-Fi connection, and not just Jio’s mobile network. With the JioTV web service, users will finally be able to enjoy their favourite channels on bigger screens.

For the uninitiated, JioTV is one of the leading live TV services among the Indian telecom operators. The service has over 550 live TV channels, which is more than the number channels present on apps like Airtel TV, Vodafone Play, and Idea Movies & TV. JioTV has content in many categories such as Entertainment, Movies, Kids, Sports, Lifestyle, Infotainment, Religious, News, Music, Regional and more.
