Reliance Jio has quietly launched a new JioFi hotspot dongle. The new dongle with the model number JioFi JMR815 has been listed on Flipkart. Just like the earlier JioFi dongles, the latest hotspot accessory is also capable of delivering download speeds of up to 150mbps and upload speeds of up to 50mbps.
The earlier JioFi dongles featured oval designs. However, the latest JioFi hotspot accessory sports a circular body with physical keys for power on/off and WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup). The device has LED notification lights to display remaining battery as well as 4G and Wi-Fi signal strengths. The dongle comes with a microSD card slot that supports memory chips up to 64GB.
The new JioFi dongle allows you to connect up to 32 devices to the high-speed 4G network. You can use the accessory to enjoy high-definition voice and video calls using the Jio 4G Voice app on 2G or 3G smartphones as well. The device comes with support for FDD-Band 3, Band 5, and TDD-Band 40 networks. The accessory features a 3,000mAh battery, which promises to deliver up to eight hours of usage.
The JioFi JMR815 4G LTE dongle has been priced affordably at Rs 999. However, the device is yet to be listed on Reliance Jio’s website.
