Oscar-winner A R Rahaman has consistently been the most downloaded Indian artist on Ovi Music Store in India, shares Nokia. The company shared interesting trends on legal digital music consumption in India. However, India was the top downloading country for Shakira, accounting for 25% of all global downloads. Bollywood as a genre registered the highest number of downloads followed by ‘pop’ and ‘rock’ music respectively, the company reports. Speaking about these interesting music trends, Jasmeet Gandhi, head services marketing, Nokia India, said, “Music is an intrinsic part of the Indian society and we offer music for every age, gender, mood and situation. Sajid-Wajid, Vishal-Shekhar and Salim-Sulaiman were other most downloaded music directors.
