“The OPPO F9 comes with a tiny notched-display and a Gorilla Glass 6 protection on top”
OPPO recently announced its new mid-range smartphones, the F9 and F9 Pro (first impression), in India. They flaunt the new ‘Waterdrop’ display, dual rear cameras and MediaTek Helio P60 chipset. To recall, the F9 and F9 Pro both come in Sunrise Red, Twilight Blue and Starry Purple colour options, and they’ll be available in the country starting August 31st. Before the sale, a new colour variant of the OPPO F9 has been spotted on the Chinese certification website TENAA.
The listing revealed the OPPO handset from both front and back, and it seems to come in a faded pink shade. Apart from this, everything else looks the same. The rear-end still has that dual camera setup, fingerprint sensor and OPPO branding in the middle. We’re expecting it to be just another colour variant of the OPPO F9 with the same hardware.
For those unaware, the handset sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8 percent and Gorilla Glass 6 protection on top. It’s powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 chipset mated with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. The latter is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card slot. For shutterbugs, the F9 boasts dual 12MP + 2MP sensors on the rear with LED flash and f/1.85 aperture lens. At its front camera lies a 25MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture, Sensor HDR technology and AI Beautification 2.1 Technology. It boats on ColorOS-based Android 8.1 Oreo, and lastly, the unit is fueled by 3,500mAh battery.
As for the pricing, the OPPO F9 retails in India at Rs 19,990. Buyers can pre-order the device now exclusive from the e-commerce site — Flipkart.
