“The OPPO F5 will be the company’s first smartphone with an all-screen full HD+ display”
OPPO is all set to unveil its next F series smartphone called the OPPO F5 at an event in the Philippines on October 26th. Ahead of the unveiling, the company has revealed the other launch markets of the phone. The brand has announced that it will be launching the OPPO F5 in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. The company’s press release has also revealed a few details about the handset’s specifications.
According to the release, the OPPO F5 will be the brand’s first almost bezel-free smartphone. The phone will come with a full-screen full HD+ display with almost non-existent bezels on both sides and minimal bezels on top and bottom. The brand said that the 2,160 x 1,080p high-resolution screen of the device will offer a more immersive experience when watching videos and gaming, as well as while running two apps together side by side on the same screen.
OPPO has also revealed that the OPPO F5 will be a selfie-centric offering. It will feature its artificial intelligence-powered Beauty Recognition technology, which will use AI to recognise skin tone and type, the gender and age of the subject. Also, the feature will analyse lightning conditions by referencing other facial images from a massive global photo database to beautify a selfie. The brand further added that the device will self-learn and enhance each shot, as it captures more and more selfies.
As per the earlier reports, the OPPO F5 will come with a 6-inch full HD+ display bearing an aspect ratio of 18:9. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, mated to 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The handset will come with 64GB of expandable storage, a 20MP rear camera and a 16MP front shooter. A 4,000mAh battery is expected to complete the list of specifications.
