Nokia X2: A 5MP Phone @ Rs 5,500

Giving a tough competition to entry- and mid-range phone makers, Nokia has launched a feature-packed phone, called X2. Joining the company’s Xseries line-up, the new 81 gram candybar phone has a 2.2 inch QVGA screen and measures 13mm thin. Based on Symbian S40 platform, the phone offers 5 megapixel camera (which is quite impressive considering the price range) along with a video recorder. Nokia-X2-11 The X2 boasts dual speakers, dedicated music keys, FM stereo and the memory can be expanded up to 16GB via microSD card. To make the musical experience even better and convenient, it provides Bluetooth 2.1 support while giving an option to select 3.5mm headphone jack. The USB 2.0 helps users to easily transfer their music files; whereas music can be managed by either Ovi Player PC client or Windows Media Player 11. Apart from this, the phone fulfills the demands of today’s youths by offering direct access to the social networking sites like Facebook, and provides Nokia Messaging for email and Instant Messaging. Users can also gain instant access to apps from the Nokia Ovi Store, according to the Nokia. Nokia X2 is expected to be launched by the end of June this year at the price of €85 (around Rs 5,500-6,000 in India) before taxes and subsidies.
