In addition to Nokia Lumia 1520 and a bunch of other new devices, Nokia has also unveiled a Windows RT based tablet dubbed as Nokia Lumia 2520 in its press event in Abu Dhabi today. It is the first, and possibly the last, attempt by the Finnish mobile manufacturer to craft a Windows RT tablet and it surely doesn’t disappoint at all. Nokia has crafted this beautiful looking tablet with some of the best hardware features as per the current market trends.
Features wise, the Nokia Lumia 2520 is built on the Windows RT operating system version with the software release number RT 8.1. It comes with a huge 10.1inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920*1080 pixels. The display also offers Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection as well as enhanced readability under the clear sun.
It is powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad Core 2.2GHz processor along with 2GB of RAM which is good enough to provide smooth performance with heavy usage. It comes with 32GB of internal storage along with microSD card slot to expand it further up to 32GB. One of the best features of this RT tablet is the giant 8000mAh battery under the hood, which provides 25days of standby time.
It comes with most of the connectivity features along with a micro SIM card slot for calling. The device also packs the Storyteller application seen on the Nokia Lumia 1520 and offers a 6.7MP rear camera with Zeiss optics lens. While the Nokia Lumia 2520 is priced at $499, an additional accessory to turn it in to a netbook, named Power Keyboard, will be available for $149.
