Nokia has rebranded its popular Nokia Music app, which is now called Nokia MixRadio. The updated version of the app is now available for a free download on the Windows Phone store, but is available exclusively for Nokia Lumia users. Nokia MixRadio will give users access to over 18 million songs through this no-advertisement, free music service. The service includes a new feature called ‘Play Me’ – a personalised radio station created according to a user’s unique profile. Using ‘Thumbs Up’, ‘Thumbs Down’ and artist ‘Favourite’ actions, users can further refine playlists according to their taste. Users can download up to 4 mixes on their phones for offline listening. For unlimited downloads, Nokia charges a small monthly fee, like it did with the old Music app. Users can also share mixes with friends using Facebook, Twitter, email and SMS. Here is the full list of new features (as listed on the Windows Phone store): – Play Me is a personalized mix inspired by your unique music profile. – Thumbs up / Thumbs down to help refine your music profile. – Share mixes with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or by email and SMS. – New name and a new look to make it even easier to use. – Bug fixes.
