Nokia has released software updates for the Nokia Lumia 920, Lumia 820 and the Lumia 620 for stability and performance improvements on the devices. All three devices have the Windows Phone 8 operating system and were launched last month by the Finnish manufacturer.
The update was rolled out jointly by Nokia and Microsoft and will bring major changes in touchscreen experience. The update will also offer automatic display brightness adjustment feature and the issues that many users complained about regarding the screen going blank during a call have also been fixed. There are various other software improvements added.
The new update version lends the Lumia 920 and the Lumia 820 software version 1232.5957.1308.00xx, where xx is the number assigned to different regions by the company. The Lumia 620 receives the update version 1030.6407.1308.00 which will improve the touchscreen functions by offering more accurate multi touch functions on the device. The camera function on the device has been adjusted to deliver the right amount of exposure when the flash is on in bright light conditions. Also, sound quality on the Bluetooth headset has been improved.
The update will be rolled out in phases in different regions of the world over the next few days. The improvements and rectification of errors are the only changes with this software update and no new feature has been added besides these.
