Nokia Lumia 525 first photos appeared online, passes Chinese certification

Nokia’s alleged upcoming budget friendly Windows Phone, the Nokia Lumia 525 has been spotted online in the very first photos of the device. The Chinese certification agency TENAA has approved the phone on its website and guys at LiveSide were lucky enough to grab the alleged press renders of this Lumia device. The phone was expected to launch last month along with the new Lumia phones, but it looks like the Finnish maker kept it as a budget surprise for holiday season.

As you can see in the photos, the Nokia Lumia 525 looks quite similar to its sibling, Nokia Lumia 520, and it is expected to be an upgraded edition of the previous phone. Rumors suggest that the Nokia Lumia 525, previously known as ‘Nokia Glee’ will arrive with a 4inch WVGA display. It will be powered by a dual core Qualcomm processor along with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 305 GPU. It is also said to be heavily focused on providing decent music experience and might come with special headphones.

Some other reports suggest that it will be having 5MP rear shooter, but won’t have a front facing camera, as you can see in the photos. It will offer common connectivity features like, 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth etc. However, it is also reported to come with NFC support, as it is reported to be a music focused smartphone.

Twitter user @evleaks suggests that the phone will ship in yellow, orange and white color choices. While, NokiaPowerUser reports that Nokia is going to hold another press event sometime in November or in the first week of December to unwrapped this small budget Lumia smartphone for emerging markets.
