Nokia is pre-paring to launch a full HD Windows Phone 8 OS based smartphone later this year dubbed as Nokia Lumia 1520. Recently the purported press render images of the phone were leaked online and now the phone has been also leaked in some live photos in which it is also captured alongside the latest Sony Xperia Z1 flagship smartphone. It will be the first 6inch phablet from the Finnish smartphone manufacturer which is now a Microsoft company.
Previously codenamed as Nokia Bandit, the Nokia Lumia 1520 is said to be offering a full HD 6inch touch screen display with the resolution of 1080 pixels. The leaked reports suggest it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor along with 2GB of RAM memory.
It is said to be having massive 32GB of internal storage which is further expendable via microSD card slot. It is not clear at the moment how much camera power is the upcoming Nokia smartphone is packing in the back, but according to the live photos the rear camera of the phone looks a lot like the snapper present in Nokia Lumia 925. It will be running the Windows Phone 8 OS version with the highly awaited GDR3 update for the OS. This software update is going to bring a lot of improvements for the OS including Driving Mode and improved multi-tasking.
If the leaked reports and images to be believed than it is going to be one of the first Windows Phone OS based phablets. According to the reports this big guy is expected to launch in US on the AT&T telecom operator around September 26th this year in a dedicated press event in New York City. Source
