Several reports in the past have suggested that HMD Global is planning to launch a new Nokia-branded flagship smartphone soon, which will be allegedly dubbed the Nokia 9. Now, a couple of live images of the purported Nokia 9 prototype have been leaked, which reveal a couple of interesting details regarding the device apart from its specs. It’s worth mentioning that a recently leaked promo video revealed an upcoming Nokia smartphone, which looks quite similar to the prototype. We initially speculated it to be the Nokia 8 but it could be the Nokia 9.
As per the leaked images, the Nokia 9 will flaunt a dual primary camera setup at the rear, aided by laser autofocus and an LED flash. The device will feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, a physical home button which is expected to double as a fingerprint sensor, two capacitive navigation keys and a USB Type-C port.
As for the specs, the source suggests that the Nokia 9 will feature a 5.27-inch display bearing a resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels. The phone will utilise Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, mated to 4GB of RAM. It will come with two 13-megapixel sensors, which will offer monochrome and colour view. The device will boot Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, and will reportedly ship with a Quick Charge 3.0 charger.
There’s no way to confirm the authenticity of these leaked images, so we advise you to take them with a grain of salt for now. There’s no word regarding the price and availability of the Nokia 9 at the moment, but we will surely inform you as soon as we hear anything.
