MTV VOLT Android Phablet launched at Rs 13,000

MTV is all geared up to make its move into the sphere of consumer technology. MTV has partnered with Swipe Telecom, which is an Indian manufacturer of smartphones and tablets. The first business outcome of this new partnership, is the all new smartphone called the MTV VOLT. It has a resolution of 854×480 which is drastically low for such a sizeable screen. The size of the screen brings in problems for those with smaller hands, which would probably account for a good portion of budget buyers, being the teenager demographic. The MTV VOLT has dual SIM facility and 3G. Internally, the new MTV VOLT works on a 1 GHz dual-core processor which is backed by 512 MB worth of RAM. There is 4GB of internal memory space which can be expanded to 32 GB. The MTV VOLT also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM Radio support. It also has a very intuitive accelerometer and GPS maps to meet all your navigation criteria. The camera on this device is a good 8 megapixel for its back camera, while the front camera gets a decent 1.3 megapixels. The device interestingly runs on the delightful Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. The removable battery is a big sized 3200 mAh battery, which cooly takes care of the needs of the large screen. 4 GB internal storage The new MTV VOLT has been given a price tag of Rs 13,000, which includes a free flip cover. The device is manufactured only in a soft white. With this competitive price, the MTV VOLT can take on devices like the Karbonn A30 and Byond PIII which also have a 6 inch screen.
