Motorola One Power specs and render

Design

Talking about the design first, the render suggests that the Motorola One Power will feature a unibody design. However, it hasn’t been confirmed if the phone will sport a metal or plastic body. The smartphone is seen in the image with a notch above the screen. The cut-out will be home to the selfie camera, an LED flash unit, the earpiece, and other sensors. At the rear, the handset seems to sport a dual primary camera setup, aligned vertically. The two sensors have an LED flash unit in the middle. A fingerprint sensor is also placed on the back. The photo suggests that the phone’s power key and volume rocker will be placed on the right side. A 3.5mm headphone jack will also be present on the device. The leaked specs sheet suggests that the smartphone will flaunt P2i’s nano-coating for water-resistance. That it about the design of the phone, at least for now.

Display and software

The leaked specs sheet of the Motorola One Power suggests that the company will be promoting it using the tagline “Wow! Viewing experience”. The smartphone will likely come with a 6.18-inch display bearing full HD+ resolution and a tall aspect ratio of 19:9. The phone will feature a screen-to-body ratio of 81 percent. While the software of the smartphone isn’t mentioned in the specs sheet, we expect the handset to boot Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. We can also expect the device to pack in some software tweaks from Motorola. Notably, the specs sheet also mentions that the phone will offer face unlock functionality, which will let you unlock the device in less than one second.

Hardware

Moving on to the hardware, the Motorola One Power could be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. The SoC will have a clock speed of 1.8GHz. The Snapdragon 636 processor already powers the recently-launched Motorola P30 smartphone. Notably, the SD636 is a power-efficient SoC that’s based on the 14nm manufacturing process. As per the leak, the One Power will come in two RAM and two storage variants – 3GB / 4GB and 32GB / 64GB.

Camera features

Let’s come to the camera specs, the Motorola One Power seems to offer a dual primary camera setup at the rear. The phone will likely have a 16-megapixel main camera sensor with 1.12µm pixel size, accompanied by a secondary 5-megapixel shooter. The smartphone will also feature an LED flash unit and bokeh effect. On the front, the handset will flaunt a 12-megapixel camera with 1.25µm pixel size. The front snapper should also be aided by a dedicated selfie flash unit and offer a bokeh mode.

Battery

Lastly, the Motorola One Power, as its name suggests, will be a battery-centric offering. Despite offering a slim waistline, the smartphone will pack in a massive 5,000mAh power cell. The specs sheet also suggests that the phone will support 15W fast charging and will have a USB Type-C port.

So as you can see from the specs sheet, the Motorola One Power will be aimed towards users looking for a power-packed mid-range smartphone with a long-lasting battery. Upon launching, the phone will be competing against the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Nokia 6.1 Plus, and ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1. As of now, we don’t have an exact launch date for the device, but we expect the phone to be out soon.
