Is Motorola not satisfied with the Indian market? Is it giving up all the efforts in competing with other mobile makers here? May be true as it has shut down its Indian website. Motorola Mobility confirmed earlier in August of shutting down its shops in India. Now comes the website shutting down news. Isn’t it a lethal blow below the belt of Motorola Mobility in India? Visiting Motorola’s website will give a message: “We are streamlining our business and support systems, and unfortunately, we’ll no longer have a dedicated website for India. Your local support site will remain open well into the future, and we’ll continue to provide support for our existing products.” There is good news for the existing customers, says Motorola. It will continue its support and products via its global website. Google acquired Motorola Mobility for a whopping $12.5 billion in May this year. It experienced a tremendous loss the previous years. It was only in the month of August this year that Motorola announced under job cuts policy that the company was doing away with about 40 percent of its vice presidents. Later it was seen about one-third of the 4,000 jobs were lost in the US. Analysts and critics believe Motorola would continue selling its devices in the Indian market till stock lasts, and its service centres would continue working for those who are using existing handsets.
