“The Moto X4 sports IP68 water resistance and dual rear cameras”
Motorola recently sent out media invites in India for an event on October 3rd to launch the Moto X4 in the country. However, today, the company has released a press statement saying that it has rescheduled the Moto X4’s launch in India, for unspecified reasons. The brand said that it will be launching the device in the country at a later date, of which, the details will be released in the coming days.
The Moto X4 was unveiled in September at the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin. It is the brand’s latest mid-range offering that comes with a dual camera setup at the back comprising of a 12MP primary snapper and an 8MP secondary shooter, aided by PDAF and a dual-LED flash unit. On the front, the device houses a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a front LED flash unit.
Talking about the other features, the Moto X4 (first impressions) features a premium design with a layer of Gorilla Glass at both the front and back. The device is IP68 certified for protection against dust and water. The phone gets a 5.2-inch full HD AMOLED display, and is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC. The RAM and storage configurations include 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB.
The connectivity features include 4G LTE, VoLTE (voice over LTE), dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth and A-GPS. A 3,000mAh battery with TurboCharging technology keeps the phone running. Software-wise, the device offers Android Nougat with a few Moto enhancements. There’s also a fingerprint sensor on board, which is embedded beneath the home button up front.
Motorola will soon be revealing the new launch date for the Moto X4 in India. The phone is expected to be priced at around Rs 30,000 in the country. We will have more details in the coming week, so stay tuned.
