Vodafone partners with Micromax to offer Rs 2,200 cashback on select 4G smartphones

Notably, Vodafone had earlier tied up with Micromax to launch the Bharat 2 Ultra, where the effective price of the device was brought down to Rs 999 by a slew of cashbacks. The new offers are similar but have been extended to several 4G Micromax smartphones including the Bharat 2+, Bharat 3, Bharat 4 and Canvas 1. Under the scheme, consumers will be paying the sticker price of the devices up front, and will need to recharge their existing or new Vodafone numbers for a minimum of Rs 150 per month over a period of 36 months. After the first 18 months, users will get a cashback of Rs 900 and for the following 18 months, they will get Rs 1,300. This will bring down the effective price of the devices by Rs 2,200 against their actual price. The cashback amount will be credited to the user’s Vodafone M-Pesa wallets.

Speaking about the offer, Avneesh Khosla, Associate Director – Consumer Business, Vodafone India said, “This is an initiative to democratize access to Vodafone SuperNet 4G. Recently through our partnership with Micromax we launched the most affordable smartphone in the country at a very attractive price of Rs 999/-.  We are now giving more options to our customers to choose from by bringing four more entry level Micromax 4G smartphones within the special cash back offer. We hope that this will encourage and enable several million phone users to upgrade to a smartphone and enjoy a richer user experience with Vodafone SuperNet 4G. ”
