Most manufacturers these days are vying for holding the position as being the most budget friendly of phablets along with high performance and functionality. There are innumerable number of budget phablets being launched into the market from known manufacturers with a solid  consumer base, as well as by entrant manufacturers or small time manufacturers looking to create low costing phablets. Magicon is one such manufacturer who by now has managed to have a firm hold in the consumer market, and has created a brand identity associated with quality and effective pricing. Now Magicon has come up with the Magicon mNote. This device didn’t get any news prior to its finalization and the manufacturer has kept mum about it. magicon-m1-m2-mNote The Magicon mNote is also styled around fancy and high end phablets like the Samsung Galaxy Note. This device has a 5-inch LCD display. Just above the display is the earpiece and to the right of that is the front facing camera. Beneath the display are three buttons exactly like it is in the Note. There is only one single physical home button and two capacitive menu and back buttons.

On the back of the Magicon mNote is a nice shiny clean plastic finish which does not look tacky at any rate. However, this smooth finish offsets the grip while in use. The back camera is an 8megapixel camera. There is a volume on the left and the microUSB port is at the bottom. Neatly placed on the right side of the device are  the on/off button. The Magicon mNote works on a 2000mAh battery and  has dual-SIM capabilities. The 5 inch display of the Magicon mNote has a resolution of 480×800 pixels. This device runs on a 1.GHz dual-core CPU, backed by 512MB of RAM and uses the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean (Vanilla experience) from the box making it the first budget phablet to use Jelly Bean from the box. There, record set. There is 2GB in built storage expandable up to 32GB through a MicroSD card. It also has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth. We are satisfied with the specifications since it outdoes other budget phablets offered at under Rs.10,000/-. The Magicon mNote looks good it adopts its form factor from the Samsung Galaxy Note. This device has a good battery span of a day and a half on a single charge and normal use. Browsing on this phablet is easy and comfortable. The audio quality Is also high however we noticed some discrepancies in the continuous reception from the network we are supposed to. For a budget phablet, this device packs in a lot making it highly useful. It  is not a sad imitation of high end phablets as one would initially gather from its name. With a big screen size and the Jelly Bean Operating System this phablet is worth a buy. It also comes with a flap to protect its touchscreen. However you could use a case to add more grip to the phablet since its glossy back does not provide requisite grip. The Phablet also offers dual SIM functions which adds to its capabilities.
