Upcoming LG smartwatch gets KCC certification; could launch with Android Wear OS

“LG is expected to launch a bunch of new smartwatches later this year”

Last month, LG filed certification for three new smartwatches on FCC (Federal Communications Commission). Most recently, yet another upcoming LG smartwatch with the model number LG LM-W319 was spotted on FCC’s website. Now, the same smartwatch has just been certified by Korean Communications Commission regulatory authority.

As per the listing on KCC’s website, LG filed for the certification for the upcoming smartwatch earlier today. The description of the device reads “certain small-output wireless devices (wireless devices for wireless data communication systems).” Unfortunately, the certification on KCC hasn’t revealed any specifications of the upcoming LG smartwatch.

LG Watch featured

According to the earlier reports, the LG LM-W319 smartwatch will come with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options. However, the device might not support cellular networks. The wearable is expected to be launched at some point later this year with Android Wear OS.
