“The Vibe Z2 Pro is a big deal, both in terms of its size and the internals”
A 6-inch 2K display, a 2.5GHz quad-core processor with 3GB RAM, a powerful pair of shooters in the form of a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation and 5-megapixel secondary camera, along with a 4,000mAh battery. All this sounds too good to be true, but Lenovo’s latest flagship, the Vibe Z2 Pro brings all of it to the table, that too at a killer price tag of Rs 32,999. While we will only be able to find out how well all this affect its day-to-day performance, let’s welcome the device in our labs with a quick unboxing.
The packaging of the Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro looks quite premium with a cut-out cardboard wrapper encasing the actual sales pack. Opening the box will bring out the phablet itself, dipped in black. It’s also available in white and gold options. The smartphone looks extremely premium thanks to its unibody design with metal construction, as noted in our first impressions as well.
Below the tray holding the device, you will find a wrapper containing the SIM ejection tool, documentation and a screen protector. Beneath these, there are compartments holding a 2A wall charger, a micro-USB cable and a pair of earphones. We really appreciate the fact that both the micro-USB cable and the earphones have flat cables, making them tangle-free.
That’s all you get inside the retail box of the Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro. The phablet has already caught our attention with its superb set of specs and pricing, and not to mention, its design. Lenovo’s offering is also one of the very few flagships that support dual-SIMs. Over the next few days, we’ll be focussing on the individual aspects of the device such as its camera quality, as well as its overall performance in our review. So stay tuned.
