Lenovo launches Vibe Z Android phablet with Snapdragon 800 processor

Lenovo has launched a new Android smartphone dubbed as Lenovo Vibe Z in China with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. It was first seen in Beijing on September 30th, when Lenovo Vibe X was launched with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the display of 440 pixels per inch density. The phone will be available to pre-order in China soon but the exact availability plans are not yet unveiled by the company.

Features wise, Lenovo Vibe Z offers a huge 5.5inch full HD touch display with the resolution of 1080*1920 pixels. The processor powering the phone is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz and it is supported by 2 GB of RAM & Adreno 330 graphics processor. The phone is running on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system and will be soon updated with the newer versions too. It is a dual-SIM phablet with WCDMA+GSM, CDMA2000+GSM and LTE+GSM connectivity options, depending on the market and telecom operator. It also sports a 13 MP rear camera along with 5 MP front facing shooter. Lenovo claims that the phone can easily deliver up-to 278 hours of standby time, but company didn’t detail the battery.

Lenovo has also introduced a special flip color for the phone in multiple colors, which looks a lot like Samsung’s S-View cover. It comes with a small window in the front and a trackpad. The trackpad allows the users to reject or receive calls without even opening the whole cover. We will update you more when it will be released globally, so stay tuned!
