The 5-inch, 4G-capable Intex Cloud Swift brings 3GB of RAM on a budget, yours for Rs 8,888

After introducing its first smartphone with 3GB of RAM, the Aqua Ace, Intex has launched another device boasting the same spec. Priced at Rs 8,888, the Intex Cloud Swift appears to be the most affordable smartphone in India at the moment with 3GB of RAM. The phone is priced Rs 111 less than the Coolpad Note 3 (first impressions) that was released earlier this month.

The Intex Cloud Swift sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a layer of Dragontrail glass. The phone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM. Storage-wise, it offers 16GB of internal memory, which can be further increased up to 128GB via a microSD card. The camera department includes an 8MP rear snapper with an LED flash, and a 5MP front shooter. The handset is fuelled by a 2,500mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, it offers 4G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. 

Software-wise, the Cloud Swift runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. It features a PIP Mode that allows simultaneous use of both the front and rear cameras to capture images. The other camera features include Victory Gesture, Live Photo Mode, Motion Track, Slo-mo videos, Face Detection, Face Beauty, Voice and Smile capture, Panorama, and Anti-shake capturing for the rear camera. The phone has a Smart Wake feature that lets you access the camera, music, files or other apps by drawing letters on the lockscreen. It also features MediaTek’s NFC-alternative Hotknot file sharing function. Air Shuffle is another software feature of the device that allows operating the phone by hand gestures without touching the display.

The Intex Cloud Swift comes in Champagne and Grey variants. Priced at Rs 8,888, the phone will be exclusively available on Snapdeal via flash sales. The first sale of the device is slated for October 20th, and the registrations will open today.
