“The Infinix Zero 5 features a MediaTek Helio P25 SoC and 6GB of RAM”
The Chinese brand Infinix made its debut in the Indian handset market with the launch of Hot4 Pro and Note 4. The brand recently teased the launch of its upcoming flagship – the Zero 5 on social media with the launch date set for November 14th. Today, the brand has launched the device at an event held in Dubai.
Taking a look at the spec sheet, the Zero 5 ships with a 6-inch LTPS Incell display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass. There is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 processor clocked at 2.6GHz ticking at its core. This is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. There’s also a Pro version with 128GB of storage. The dual-SIM smartphone features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It runs XOS 3 based on Android Nougat.
On to the highlight of the device, there is a dual camera module on the rear panel comprising of 12-megapixel + 13-megapixel sensors in a telephoto and wide-angle setup. The telephoto lens offers 2x optical zoom. It also features a Portrait mode with a bokeh effect, and lets you refocus the image after you shoot. In the front, there is a 16-megapixel snapper with flash for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is powered by a beefy 4,350mAh battery which offers fast charging. The device comes with support for 20 LTE bands.
Just like the debut smartphones of the brand, the flagship Zero 5 will also be sold as a Flipkart exclusive in India and will be up for grabs starting 12pm on November 22nd. The handset has been priced at Rs 17,999 for the 64GB option, and Rs 19,999 for the Pro variant with 128GB storage. It will come in hues of Sandstone Black, Champagne Gold, Bordeaux Red, and Bronze and Gold.
