IBM Bags $19 Million Deal From Telecom Firm Pyro

Pyro, a mobile-technology solutions provider, has signed a $19 million deal with IBM, where the latter will act as a strategic advisor and will help Pyro with the development, testing, and management of its large portfolio of various products and solutions as well as value added services (VAS) in telecom industry domain. The 5-year engagement will enable Pyro to develop cutting edge products, better address customer needs, and achieve faster go-to-market, claimed the company. partnership “To continue with our rapid growth in the Indian market and strengthen our global footprint we needed a partner with strong domain knowledge and proven track records. With this deal, IBM will help enhance our product portfolio, streamline our processes, and bring greater cost efficiency. IBM’s proven technology expertise will also enable us to increase our resource utilization, adopt best industry practices, and change methodologies effectively,” said S M Reddy, CEO, Pyro Group. During the course of the multiyear engagement, IBM will also help Pyro in establishing industry best practices in terms of project management and knowledge management by bringing in improved processes, methodologies and standards. “Pyro is a very innovative company in a dynamically evolving VAS marketplace.
