“The Mate 10 Pro is expected to come with an optional stylus pen accessory from Moleskine”
Huawei is all set to unveil its latest flagship smartphones, the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, at an event in Germany on October 16th. Ahead of the unveiling next week, the Mate 10’s alleged promo material hit the interwebs in China, which confirmed some of its specs. We have also seen quite a few press renders of both the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, which are expected to sport an identical design. Now the popular gadget tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks), has posted two more renders of the Mate 10 Pro, one of which reveals a very interesting tidbit about the handset.
The render posted by Blass shows the Mate 10 Pro next to a stylus pen, which is drawing something on a notebook. The stylus pen and notebook look like Moleskine’s Smart Writing Set. The stylus pen appears to be wirelessly transmitting the content written on the notebook to the Mate 10 Pro. The Smart Writing Set from Moleskine lets you digitally edit and share whatever you create on paper in real-time on a connected device.
Unfortunately, the tipster didn’t reveal anything about what features the stylus pen will offer on the Mate 10 Pro. It’s not clear if the phone will have a pressure sensitive display to let you write directly on it using the stylus. Also, it’s unlikely that the brand will bundle such accessory with the Mate 10 Pro at no extra cost. It is expected to be available as a standalone accessory only.
The second press render of the Mate 10 Pro shared by Blass shows the Black variant of the flagship. Similar to the earlier renders, the new image also shows off the presence of an almost bezel-less display and the Leica-powered dual rear camera setup of the handset. The device will come with an all-screen front, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and curved back. We will have its official specs and pricing details next week, so stay in touch.
