HTC reveals the global version of HTC J Butterfly

HTC has silently listed the global variant of the HTC J Butterfly (Droid DNA), named as HTC Butterfly on its website. HTC’s announcement comes amidst the rumor of an upgraded version of the Droid DNA. The greatest strength of HTC Butterfly is its 5-inch capacitive touchscreen Super LCD 3 which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Its display has a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. This equates to a pixel density as high as 441 pixels-per-inch. This display is expected to be one of the best amongst any smartphones yet. The device runs on operating system Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS topped with HTC Sense 4+ UI. It is powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor that comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB worth of internal storage which is further expandable up to 32GB through the use of microSD memory card. It offers an 8MP rear camera with BSI sensor and 2.1MP front camera for video calling. HTC has added a broad range of exciting features in the camera such as auto focus, LED flash, and a BSI sensor which enables capturing images in low light situations. The camera has a 26mm lens. Another exciting feature is that it can create videos in 1080p, which provides full HD experience. Its VideoPic feature provides the dual experience of capturing 6 megapixel photos while shooting HD video at the same time. Its video features also include slow motion video capture and playback. Data connectivity of the handset is ensured with HDMI out, micro-USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. As is the case with all HTC smartphones launched in recent times.HTC Butterfly is also loaded with built in Beats Audio. There is no official information available yet on the battery life. Considering the broad display , information about battery life becomes more important as it will only be utilizing a 2,020 mAh battery.
