HTC One S gets Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update

It has been in the talks that HTC would offer an update to the operating system for its Smartphone HTC One S. Now, finally HTC has offered an OS update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the One S after the announcement of updating the operating system for HTC One X. The new update available for HTC One S is not Jelly Bean 4.2 but it lists as Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, with better performance including some new features. Jelly Bean 4.1.1 will give a better camera performance along with a better version of HTC Sense UI and Sense 4+. It also promises an optimized performance on the power front. The Sense 4+ UI that has been involved in the new Jelly Bean update gives some new feature like HTC Get Started, HTC Watch 2.0 and many more gallery applications. Jelly bean includes several improvement including Project Butter and upgrades to Android Beam functionality.


At present HTC has been offering Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system for HTC One X+, HTC One X and it has come with Jelly Bean OS for HTC One S. HTC Butterfly already comes with Jelly Bean OS in the US. With the completion of the Jelly Bean updates for 2012 from HTC, the Taiwanese manufacturer has announced that there is no possibility of offering Jelly Bean updates for mid ranged phones including One V, as they do not have sufficient RAM on them. Let’s hope that other phones join the Jelly Bean Club soon to satisfy the users.
